Frequently asked questions

What makes your granola different from the rest on the shelf?

The granola category has gone loud with protein hacks, optimization claims, and wellness trends. Opa's Granola turns down the volume. We argue, in delectable granola form, for ease, simplicity and sitting down to savor the good stuff (on your plate, and in life).

We're a nut-based granola (instead of most granolas that are mostly oats) who focuses on simple, premium and whole food ingredients, with 3x more nuts in every batch.

What are the 6 core ingredients in your granola? Aren’t there 10 total ingredients?

Our 6 core ingredients are almonds, cashews, walnuts, gluten-free oats, coconut oil and maple syrup. We highlight the 6 core ingredients because they will be consistent throughout all of Opa’s Granola’s future recipes and flavors.

Why nuts?

We were tired of the over-complicated snack aisle options that had ingredients we didn’t know how to pronounce. Opa’s Granola is focused on simple, intentional and high quality ingredients. Enter nuts.

Who is Opa?

Opa is our 91-year-old grandpa who inspires us to find joy in the kind of slowness most people rush through. He uses a flip phone, writes emails instead of texts, and signs every message with “love you a lot.” He lives with intention, savoring the small, everyday moments that make life feel full.

Is Opa’s Granola gluten-free?

Yes, we use all naturally gluten-free ingredients. Our oats are certified gluten-free and our kitchens rigorously clean equipment to ensure that there is no contamination.

Unfortunately, certifications are extremely labor intensive and expensive, which is a tough undertaking for a small business like ours. If you’d like more information on our ingredients, please feel free to contact us at hello@opasgranola.com.

Where can I find Opa’s Granola?
